EPI Mini EPI Mini ECG Monitor for Smartphones Coming to U.S.MobiHealthNews is reporting that EPI Mobile Health Solutions out of Singapore received FDA clearance to market its EPI Mini device that records and transmits a one lead ECG to a Blueetooth enabled smartphone. Similar to the AliveCor Heart Monitor and Cardiac Designs ECG Check, the device is not a phone case, but rather an independent unit that can function on its own.

One device can be used by up to five people, each getting an independent repository of readings so that the whole family can keep an eye on its hearbeats! Readings can also be sent out via SMS to a clinician for review.
