| Orlando Health Rolls Out Patient Access Services Posted: 23 Jul 2009 09:03 AM PDT Orlando Health has selected Emeryville, Calif.-based MedeAnalytics ’ Patient Access Services that the company says will allow registration staff to estimate patient payment obligation, screen uninsured patients for charity care, identify demographic errors, verify insurance eligibility, and manage the financial counseling process using real-time business intelligence and Web-based workflow technology. Orlando Health has been a development partner of MedeAnalytics’ full suite of advanced solutions and services since 2004. Orlando Health is a $1.5 billion, not-for-profit organization and a community-based network of hospitals and care centers in the Orlando region. The organization, which includes the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Centers for adults and pediatrics, is a statutory teaching hospital system that offers both specialty and community hospitals. |
| VA Selects Identity Management Solution Posted: 23 Jul 2009 08:58 AM PDT The Washington, D.C.-based Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has selected San Diego, Calif.’s Anakam TFA (Two-Factor Authentication) as the enterprise authentication tool for remote access to VA systems. The VA will leverage the tool to provide more veteran-centric benefit and healthcare services online, according to the company. Anakam provides the VA a two-factor authentication solution delivered through multiple channels that will help achieve compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidelines (FISMA, OMB, and NIST) and healthcare (HIPAA and CCHIT) authentication standards for the protection of personally identifiable information and protected health information, it touts. |
| Qatar Ministry of Health to Integrate HIS Posted: 22 Jul 2009 11:39 AM PDT The Qatar Ministry of Health has selected Healthcare Solutions (HCS) of Dubai to enhance its health information system. According to the company, under the agreement it will supply, install, train and support an HL7 interface engine in order to integrate the HIS with its PACS and Blood Analyzers, at the Medical Commission facility. According to HCS, it will provide the Ministry of Health with integration using Cambridge, Mass.-headquartered InterSystems Corporation ’s Ensemble platform. |
