| Keane, Zynx Health Team to Offer CDS Solution Posted: 24 Nov 2009 08:02 AM PST Zynx Health (Los Angeles) is partnering with the Healthcare Solutions Division of Boston-based Keane Inc. , to integrate its evidence-based clinical decision support solutions with Keane’s Optimum EHR system. Through the collaboration, ZynxOrder will be offered at Keane’s acute care facilities, where customers will be able to integrate the solution into the EHR, providing practitioners with access to evidence-based clinical best practices at the point of care, the companies say. ZynxOrder will also be embedded into Keane’s clinical offering, Optimum iMed, they claim, to provide users with access to the latest information in clinical decision support diagnosis and problem-driven order sets to allow for optimized patient care. |

The Children’s Hospital , Kaiser Permanente Colorado and Exempla Healthcare have formed a new health information exchange system. According to the organizations, through the partnership, patients may show up at any one of the hospitals and clinics and have their records instantly available to doctors with the click of a button. The organizations say all records are up-to-date and changes are logged in real time, helping the quality of patient care, no matter where and by whom they are seen. Access to patient records is secure and requires authorization. With more than 1,000 healthcare professionals representing the full spectrum of pediatric specialties, The Children’s Hospital network of care includes its main campus, 16 Children’s Care Centers and more than 400 outreach clinics. Kaiser Permanente Colorado provides comprehensive health care services to over 480,000 members through 20 medical offices and a network of affiliated hospitals and physicians. Exempla Healthcare, formed in 1998, serves metropolitan Denver through its three hospitals — Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center, Exempla Lutheran Medical Center, Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital — and the Exempla Physician Network of primary care, occupational medicine and specialty physicians. |
| Posted: 23 Nov 2009 09:37 AM PST Golden Valley Medical Clinics of Clinton, Mo., has selected InteGreat , a division of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based MED3OOO Company , to implement and deploy InteGreat EHR, the company says. The browser-based EHR adapts to clinical workflows by automating common physician activities, including prescribing, capturing charges and ordering lab tests, the company says. In addition, it says the InteGreat product provides viewing results, and documents clinical encounters. Golden Valley Medical Clinics are affiliated with Golden Valley Memorial Hospital and serve patients in the rural Golden Valley area as well as surrounding communities. The clinic serves patients in three locations and is one of the largest group practices in rural Missouri, with 21 physicians and four nurse practitioners. Facilities include three fully equipped laboratories and X-ray departments, diagnostic ultrasonography, and digital mammography. |
| Telehealth Collaboration Service Launched Posted: 23 Nov 2009 09:36 AM PST New York’s Verizon Business , a unit of Verizon Communications, rolled out its new Telehealth Collaboration Services portfolio for audio and video monitoring. Verizon says its new product is designed to enable providers to leverage Web, audio and video conferencing technologies to consult remotely with patients and other providers. The company says its product provides continuing medical education and training to medical professionals, and helps healthcare administrators avoid costly and time-consuming travel. As part of its consultancy, Verizon says its staff works with healthcare organizations to assess their collaboration readiness, as well as to design, implement and support a broad range of Web and audio conferencing services, and video capabilities from desktop Web cams to high-definition and immersive video. |
