Envisionier endogoHD Portable Endoscopy System

Envisionier out of Woodstock, GA recently released what they claim to be is the "world's first battery operated, portable, hand-held endoscopic video camera with integrated viewing and archiving capability."

The eGo™ functions operates separately as a multimedia playback of endoscopic videos or photos with dual image viewing.

The company is promoting this high definition endoscopic camera for ENT, Ob/Gyn, and urology. But, we think, it could also be used for general surgery, emergency medicine, anesthesia, critical care and other applications.

Envisionier also unveiled a new iPhone application that allows for browsing, manipulating, and sharing of exam images and videos with the patient and colleagues. The app works in conjunction with the firm's eGoWorks and eGoManager servers that physicians can use to manage endoscopy data.

Storing information
Securely sharing radiographic images and endoscopic images and videos with referring physicians, colleagues, patients and patient’s families

Envisionier even has a game where you use the endoscopic handle as a gun to shoot at components of conventional endoscopy carts that fire back optical disks, VHS tapes, and wads of paper. In our hatred for outdated medical technology, we got up to 6830 points.
