Milwaukee-based Merge Healthcare has released new anesthesia information management solutions (AIMS) that use forms-based electronic templates, flexible software and user-friendly tools that the company says reduce documentation time and improve data accuracy and charge capture. This AIMS/PCIMS (perioperative care information management solution) is a module that provides pre-op nurses the ability to quickly switch between cases, helping improve patient care and throughput, says the company. The latest version also monitors and automatically records the perfusion record, and offers new roaming station capabilities that enable clinicians to complete records from any location within the hospital network without need of additional IT configuration, it adds.
